How to solve the problem that it closes automatically and abnormally?

Please do according to the following steps: Step 1, Close the software 321Soft DVD Ripper
Step 2, Click your computer "Start > Run..."
Step 3, Enter command "RegEdit" or "RegEdit.exe"
Step 4, Click "HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE"
Step 5, Delete the item "DvdConvertSystem" under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE"
Step 6, Start the software again
How to solve the error "Unable to read from D:\VIDEO_TS\vts_01_1.vob"?
It might because that your DVD disc has a region code limited by your DVD-ROM. You may try the followings:
- Play your DVD on your computer by a DVD Player like Windows Media Player or WinDVD for several minutes, then try 321Soft DVD Ripper again.
- If the above step can not solve the problem, please use file explorer to open the DVD drive to see if it can read the files on the DVD disc.
- If the above steps can not solve the problem, you may try to use the button "Open DVD File (*.ifo / *.vob) to open the VOB file directly for converting.
- If the above steps still can not solve the problem, You may try to install a DVD region free software to make your DVD-ROM can read the DVD disc, then try 321Soft DVD Ripper again.
How to solve the error "MPEG2Dec: Error during decoder initialisation"?

This question is the same as the above one. You may do the same procedure as the above steps. It might because that your DVD disc has a region code limited by your DVD-ROM. You may try to install a DVD region free software to make your DVD-ROM can read the DVD disc.

How can I know what region code a dvd disc is?

The region code is usually specified on the back of the individual DVD packages, either with a Regional Coding logo of a globe with the region number superimposed over it, or specifically spelled out. For example, while currently-released New Line and Warner DVD titles use the globe logo & number scheme, MGM/UA titles state: "This disc has been encoded for Region 1: The United States, U.S. Territories and Canada." In the cast of Lumivision's discs, they are labelled "Available worldwide," which means that the discs contain no regional coding and will play on any players in any countrys.
What does the region code affect an end consumer?

This means that movies from Region 1 (USA & Canada) will not play on a DVD player regions 2-6. Effectively Region 1 discs play only on Region 1 DVD players, Region 2 discs play only on Region 2 DVD players and so on.
How to convert DVD to MPEG or AVI?

Step 1, Lauch the software 321Soft DVD Ripper.
Step 2, Click the "Open DVD Folder..." or "Open DVD File ..." button to open the DVD movie.
Step 3, Set the output format to MPEG or AVI.
Step 4, Click the button "Enter File..." from the "Save As" column to set a file name. The file's extension name should be ".MPG" or ".AVI".
Step 5, Click the button "Convert...".
Step 6, If you want to convert all the chapters, set the radio button to "All Chapters", otherwise, please set it to "Select Chapters" or "Select a Clip", then click the button "Select..." to enter the window for selecting chapters or a clip.
Step 7, You must choose an appropriate video codec from the column "AVI Output Parameters".
Step 8, After the above steps, click the button "Convert", it will start converting.

Step 1, Lauch the software 321Soft DVD Ripper.

What's the system requirements for using this software?
To use 321Soft DVD Ripper, your computer must meet the following requirements,
- Windows 98, 2000, XP, 2003 or higher
- 1GB or more free hard disk space
- Intel Pentium III CPU or higher, or AMD CPU of the same level
- DVD-ROM for reading DVD Movie from DVD disc
What's the ISO or BIN/CUE files generated?

When converting DVD to VCD or SVCD, the software will save the converted file to an ISO as default. Then you may burn the ISO file to an empty disc by your CD burning software like "Nero Burning" or "Roxio Easy CD Creator".

You may also convert to BIN/CUE file by rename it from the "Save As" dialog.
How to create a DVD or SVCD from an ISO file or BIN/CUE files?

The ISO or BIN/CUE files is an image of VCD or SVCD. You may use CD burning software like "Nero Burning" or "Roxio Easy CD Creator" to burn the ISO file to an empty disc.
Why the sound is abnormal when being played in this software?

We do not use hardware acceleration technology, so the sound might be abnormal if your computer's hardwares are not good enough. But the converted video will have no problem.
Why the preview window shows incorrectly when converting?

When converting DVD to MPEG-2 formats, the preview window may show incorrectly with many lines, but the converted video will be no problem. It's just a problem of refreshing that will not affect the video quality.
How to solve the following error "the ordinal 11 could not be located in the dynamic link library DSound.dll" ?

321Soft DVD Ripper assumes that you have installed the latest version of DirectX sound software. It needs a specific function (Ordinal 11) from a specific library (error in finding the DLL).

When this error occured, it means that you need install DirectX SDK to your computer.

Download and install the latest DirectX version from Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.aspx

If you do not want to install the DirectX, you may also try the following steps,
- Step 1, download this new version file "dsound.dll" to your computer. Download dsound.dll
- Step 2, reboot your computer and enter in safe mode.
- Step 3, rename the old file "dsound.dll" under the windows' "System32" folder to another file name for backup.
- Step 4, copy the new downloaded file "dsound.dll" to the "System32" folder.
- Step 5, reboot your computer.
Why there are some items disabled like "All Chapters" and "Split" options?

This is because what you are using is a trial version. The full version will enable the item "All Chapters". If you ordered a full version, you may uninstall the trial version and install the full version you received. The option "All Chapters" will be enabled. And as to the item "Split", only when "All Chapters" selected will it be enabled.
